• Important Announcement - European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA) restrictive measures on CFDs

    2018/08/01 09:00:00

As part of our wider response to regulatory change under MiFID II and the new ESMA measures we are changing certain product specifications we offer to you.

You are currently categorised as a Retail client for selected complex products.  From 1 August 2018 we will change the leverage limits on our platform and you will no longer be able to have a leverage limit of 1:100 for the products we offer to you.

You have the option to be categorized as a Professional Investor and be able to trade with different leverage limits than the ones you had as a Retail Investor, by completing the questionnaire in our online account management system and if you meet certain requirements.

You should be aware that, in accordance with the investor protection rules, you will lose the following protections that may have applied before:

    ● Communications provided to professional clients, including financial promotions, do not have to meet all of the same requirements as those provided to retail clients, including providing risk warnings

KAB Strategy Limited may assume that a professional client has the necessary experience and knowledge in order to understand the risks involved in relation to those particular investment services or transactions, or types of transaction or product, for which the client is classified as a professional client

ESMA measures such as restricted leverage and negative balance protection do not apply to elective professional clients and therefore these protections will not apply to you

You have the right to request a different categorisation at any time. It remains your responsibility to notify us if anything changes that might affect your eligibility to be categorised as a professional client.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department if you have any questions.
